Arh man, I’ve just followed this guide and can’t get Jackett to work. I’m running my Plex/Transmission/Sonarr on a Mac Mini, which is not able to go beyond 10.11.6

I’m ver y much out of my comfort zone with Terminal, in totally unknown uncharted waters with Github!

Can anyone advise on how best to get Jackett (or similar – tried Cardigann but that’s kinda broken and isn’t being supported any more) up and running on an Early 2009 Mac Mini?

adding indexers like that defeats the purpose for jackett. the purpose is to setup your search clients with one indexer, and in turn the indexer manages and searches all the torrent sites for more results. so you add all the sites you want on the jackett web client. go to your client i.e sonarr, lidarr, radarr.
and you configure the client as follow: URL: http://localhost:9117/torznab/all/ api key:(the api key for your jackett server),test and save.
that way your client is configured with only one indexer, and jackett does all your searches for you through all of the sites that’s configured on it.

Thanks so much. It works. But for some private trackers I like RSS off and only search On. And for all public I want both RSS and search On. So I’m still trying to find a way to separate it like that. But this is good method for someone who wants all trackers together.

It should be noted, this method will not support tracker error reporting. It’s often helpful to see that a tracker is having issues through the Sonar / Radar web gui.

  6. An outstanding share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a colleague who has been conducting a little homework on this.
And he actually bought me lunch because I discovered it for him…
lol. So let me reword this…. Thanks for the meal!!

But yeah, thanx for spending some time to talk about this topic here on your
    web page.
